The 13th Liaoning Provincial Games Grand Opening in Panjin

On August 19th, the 13th Liaoning Provincial Games was grandly opened at the Red Umbrella Stadium of Liaodong Bay Red Beach Sports Center in Panjin city. Chen Qiufa, secretary of the provincial party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening. Tang Yijun, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the opening ceremony officially began. Later, along with the wonderful melody of the 13th National Games, the provincial sport’s flag and the 13th provincial sport’s flag rose slowly. At the opening ceremony, a large-scale cultural and sports performance with the theme of “Building a New Liaoning” was held. As the largest comprehensive sports event in the province with the highest level of competition and the widest participation, the Provincial Games will be held every four years.
